Maintenance Procedure

1

Pre-Maintenance Checks

  • Isolate equipment and follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
  • Ensure system is depressurized and drained
  • Wear proper PPE (gloves, helmet, safety shoes)
  • Review previous maintenance records
2

Visual Inspection

Pump Inspection
  • Check for leakage, vibration, noise
  • Inspect seals, coupling, and piping connections
Gearbox Inspection
  • Check oil level and condition
  • Inspect for overheating, abnormal sound, leakage
3

Disassembly

  • Mark parts for correct reassembly
  • Remove casing, shaft, bearings, seals carefully
  • Drain oil (gearbox) and fluid (pump)
4

Cleaning

  • Clean all components using solvent/degreaser
  • Remove dirt, sludge, and deposits
  • Dry using compressed air
5

Repair / Replacement

  • Replace damaged bearings, seals, gaskets, O-ring
  • Repair or replace worn gears/impeller
  • Ensure correct tolerances and fits
6

Reassembly

  • Reassemble as per markings and alignment
  • Apply proper lubrication
  • Tighten bolts to recommended torque
7

Alignment & Lubrication

  • Align pump with motor (dial gauge/laser)
  • Fill gearbox with recommended oil
  • Ensure correct coupling alignment
8

Testing & Commissioning

  • Perform no-load trial run
  • Check vibration, noise, temperature
  • Verify flow, pressure (pump)
  • Ensure no oil or fluid leakage
